Volunteer Centre St. Lawrence Rideau
Throughout its 37-year history, the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau, has played a vital role in building community capacity by:
-providing leadership opportunities, by connecting volunteers with possible placement with non-profit organizations and community events.
-creating a sense of belonging and inclusion in the community for individuals, through the volunteer experience.
-impacting, directly or indirectly, up to 10,000 citizens in Leeds Grenville, through our work with agencies and individuals.
-giving over 2000 families access to government funds that helps alleviate poverty, though our Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.
The Volunteer Centre supports over 30 non-profit organizations in Leeds Grenville, through the promotion of volunteerism, the recruitment and referral of volunteers and education and networking support to agencies and individuals.
The Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau, is a non-profit charity that focuses on impacting Strong Communities through Community Engagement and is a member agency of the United Way of Leeds Grenville.
