Invitation to attend “High Water Talk”, Brockville Ontario

Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River reached unprecedented levels in 2017 and 2019, causing severe flooding and erosion along the shores and wetlands. While we are all hoping for the best, the 2020 flood forecasts for Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River demand our attention.

United Shoreline Ontario will be hosting an education event regarding water levels, Lake Ontario Water Management Policy (Plan 2014), and Emergency Flood Preparedness on February 3rd, 2020 at the Brockville Arts Centre. This event will feature formal presentations from invited speakers, as well as an open forum for the public to ask questions, speak about their experiences and share their thoughts.
